Overnight stays in self-contained accommodation are also allowed again, although these must only be with members of the same household or support bubble.
The rules on social contact still apply. Indoor settings must only be visited alone or with a household group. Outdoor settings are limited to either six people or two households.
Chairman of Scarborough Pub Watch Danny Smith said Scholar’s Bar, where he is landlord, will not be reopening but he understands there are 12 pubs in Scarborough town centre that are, and more in the rest of the borough.

“There are some that can't open or who don't want to because it's not financially viable but there is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel.”
Among those who are welcoming people back for pints today is Pauline Hirst, landlady at The Albert on North Marine Road.
She turned part of the car park into a beer garden last year and have it all ready for their first customers today, including under-cover seating areas and fairy lights.

“I can't wait, I'm really excited about it,” she said. “We've been empty and closed for too long.
“It isn't ideal but we've got to work with what we've got.”
The easing of restrictions also mean the number of care home visitors will increase to two per resident, and all children will be able to attend any indoor children’s activity, including sport.
Parent and child groups of up to 15 people can restart indoors.
Funerals can continue with up to 30 attendees.
Weddings, outdoor receptions, and commemorative events including wakes will be able to take place with up to 15 attendees.
