“He had mentioned to friends about low moods but nothing about what was really going on but it sadly got too much for him.
“Scott was always a good kid - he did what he was told, never in trouble, enjoyed school and he loved working on cycles.
“He saved really hard to get the bike he really wanted doing a paper round. He finally got it and spent hours doing it up.

“Scott was a fantastic dad and adored his children, Alfie and Alissa. He saved his bike and always promised it to Alfie.
“The heartache it brought on the family was unbelievable. As a mother, you always think you will go before your children.”
When she took on the carvery shop in June 2019, Wendy knew immediately she would name it after Scott.

The mental health support group for men has a branch in Scarborough, which launched last year, and the Scott’s Hot Roast team are aiming to raise the £1,500 needed to open another branch in Bridlington, where Scott lived.
They have already collected £600 and events planned so far include a sponsored walk, sponsored leg wax and selling keyrings.
Christina said Filey Cricket Club has donated £185, and several other local businesses have pledged their support including Hackness Grange Hotel, The White Lodge, Monsoon, San Marco, Harry’s Diner, Tesco and Spar.

Wendy has made a plea for any men in need of support to speak up.
“Reach out, don't suffer in silence,” she said.
“You don’t need to have a diagnosis to attend Andy’s Man Club. Men that attend this club are all from different walks of life getting stuff off their chest, talking, listening, sharing and supporting with no judgement.
“Speak to family or friends. Men are allowed to struggle and have bad days just as much as women. We are all human.

“I just wish we knew about Andy’s Man Club when Scott needed help or he could still be here with us now.”
