Scarborough's youngsters on the search after Facebook page leads to bear hunt
Residents are being urged to place a cuddly toy in their windows so that it is visible to people passing by.
The response to the group has been huge, with over 1,250 people already joining.

The Facebook page says: "While lots of us are self isolating and minimising our social contact, here’s an exciting thing we can all get involved with.
"Can you place a teddy bear in your window so it’s visible to passers by. When families are out walking or driving they can look our for these cuddly friends and create their own ‘Bear Hunt’.
"It’s a lovely easy project for children to get involved with in their own homes and can help to keep everyone busy when out walking, driving, biking or just escaping for a bit of fresh air and space."

Hide AdLocal parents have also been pulling together by sharing ideas for daily routines, educational resources, craft activities and online dance and fitness sessions for children on local Facebook pages.
The Prime Minister announced last week that, as of Monday, March 23, schools along with nurseries, childminders and other registered childcare settings will only be open for vulnerable children and those who have one or more ‘key worker’ parents.
The Government has not said how long the closures will be in place.
