Where and when you can buy groceries in and around Whitby (and who delivers)
In response to unprecedented demand, many stores have changed their opening hours to allow them restock and allow key workers, the over 70s and the most vulnerable people in our communities, to get exclusive access at certain times.
A large number of independent retailers are now offering home delivery. We’ve compiled a list to help you stock up.

Supermarkets
Aldi
Aldi now opens from 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday to allow time for product replenishment
Sunday opening hours remain unchanged - 10am-4pm. (NHS staff are welcome from 9.30am Sunday, but cannot checkout until 10am)

The Co-op is open from 7am-8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on a Sunday.

Hide AdManager Barbara Hopps said the store is trying to help as many vulnerable people as possible by offering home delivery. She said that if people are happy to wait for a few days for delivery, orders may be placed over the phone.
NHS staff may enter the store after it is closed if they call ahead on the above number.

Sainsbury's
Main store open from 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on a Sunday.
Petrol station open from 7am-10pm seven days a week, however the forecourt shop is closed and payment is either via the pump or through the hatch.
