Queen of modern crime Martina Cole comes to Scarborough
The best-sellling writer will be at the library in Vernon Road on Tuesday June 27 at 6pm.
The event has been organised by Books by the Beach directors Heather French and Peter Guttridge.

Hide Ad“I’m so excited that Martina is coming to Scarborough I met her years ago at another festival and I’ve been inviting her every year since. It’s finally paid off,” said Heather.
Martina has written more than 20 novels and sold in excess of 14 million copies.
She was the first British female novelist to surpass the £50 million sales mark for adult audiences.
Many of her hard-hitting novels including The Take have been successfully adapted for the screen and a number have become theatre productions.

Hide AdDangerous Lady was Martina’s debut thriller novel and it introduced Maura Ryan and an original genre of gangland crime.
This year is the 25th anniversary of it’s publication. Martina will be discussing it an her latest work Betrayal, her 23rd bestseller.
Books by the Beach runs at various venues from Wednesday April 26 to Monday May 1.
