"I was pretty happy with my own performance, there's still a lot to work on, but considering it was the first league game of the season, I thought I did ok."
Brining spotted a gap in the Warriors rearguard and lunged over to reduce the Devils' deficit early in the second half.
On his try, Brining added: "It was only about five metres out, I saw a gap off the back of a quick play the ball and went for it. It wasn't the most eye-catching but still nice to get over."

"Yeah I suppose it was (what I expected). It was a fair bit quicker and you can't afford to switch off otherwise you'll get punished.
"If it wasn't for a poor first half I think the result would have been in our favour, but we didn't take our opportunities.
"We need to be more clinical and take our chances going forward. To be honest it doesn't make a difference whether I start or not (against Huddersfield), I don't mind."
Brining has been named in Salford’s 19-man squad for their game at Huddersfield Giants tonight. live on Sky Sports 2, 8pm kick-off.
