Artists put work in print
The exhibition will delve into the Printmakers Council archive, for which the Scarborough Collections is the repository, and will feature a number of pieces that have not previously been on public display.
Visitors to the gallery in The Crescent will be able to enjoy a variety of prints from the archive, reflecting the diversity and innovation of the printmakers through a range of techniques.

Following the donation of 116 works to Scarborough Art Gallery in 1992, in early 2016 the Printmakers Council proposed that the Scarborough Collections should become the home for the Council’s archive and a further donation of 109 works arrived in December. The Scarborough Collections will now welcome a selection of around 100 works from the Council every two years.
Scarborough Museums Trust collections manager Jennifer Dunne said: “In 2015 the Printmakers Council contacted us to discuss the collection of works donated to the Art Gallery in 1992.
“This reignited the relationship between the two organisations, which led to the Printmakers Council proposing that the Scarborough Collections should become the repository for their members’ work.
