Hide AdTwo short free online courses 'Building Resilience' are offered through July, one open to all (C3677987) and one specifically for participants from local WEA partners (including Aspire Igen, Beyond Housing, Scarborough and Ryedale Carers, Yorkshire in Business and others).
For existing WEA students in Scarborough, an evening Relaxation class is also being offered for free in July, as well as art class 'Still Life in Lockdown'.
Tutors are currently preparing a huge programme of courses for the autumn. The WEA in Scarborough will continue prioritise many 'local' courses, bringing Scarborough students together online throughout lock down. As a national association, there will also be many more WEA courses run from Scarborough that will, for the first time, be open to students from all corners of the country.
Scarborough-based singing, writing and film studies courses, which were running at the Stephen Joseph Theatre before lockdown, quickly transferred online for the summer term and have been free to students.
