Stables go-ahead

PROPOSALS to build a new stable block in a village near Driffield have been given the go-ahead by East Riding councillors.
The scheme for the block at School House, Driffield Road, Skerne, was approved by the council’s eastern area planning sub-committee this week.
The ruling came despite opposition to the plans from the local parish council, who had recommended that it be refused amid their concerns over the access to the site.
