HOME-baked bread and high quality local produce is the recipe which a Driffield couple hope will bring their new bakery and sandwich shop success.
Rustics, which is now open on Mill Street, has been opened by husband and wife team Bob and Deborah Chard.

And Bob revealed the main reason why they had decided to set up the new venture.

“I got sick and tired of working for somebody else and doing all the hours,” he said.

The shop offers a wide range of speciality breads, which are freshly baked on the premises using locally- sourced flour, sandwiches with fillings made using local produce and cakes.

They will also be offering pizzas and hot dogs.

“It’s something you can go in, pick up and out”, he said.

Bob and Deborah are also planning to take telephone orders in the near future, and will make any form of bread they can, when asked to by a customer.

Bob said: “It’s a bakery.

“If it’s within my power to do, I can do it.”
