A BEVERLEY company has announced a major expansion, to meet 'unprecedented' demand for its products.
The Label Store UK has revealed major growth plans including a new manufacturing unit at its headquarters in Borwick Drive, off Grovehill Road, and the appointment of two more staff members.
The company is an award winning leading UK-based label m
anufacturer and auto-ID equipment provider.
Its expansion is a result of increased demand for printed and blank labels, bar code printers and auto-ID equipment. The first phase of the expansion is the acquisition of a new 1,700 sq m facility which will be used to increase capacity by over a third for label manufacturing, along with providing new conference facilities and a customer focus centre. It is set to be fully complete by 2009.
Two business development and technical experts, Trevor Christie and Steve Parsons, have been appointed, following the appointment of sales and marketing director Andrew Mansfield in April.
Trevor Christie, a former professional footballer who played for Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, has over 10 years' experience in the industry and has been appointed business manager. Steve Parsons is the new technical manager, with over 20 years' experience in technical roles.
The company was founded in 1977, when it was one of the first bar code companies in the UK.
Customers include Boots, Harrods, TK Maxx, Panasonic, Tesco and Marks & Spencer.
