DRIFFIELD'S premier music event is back for its second year and it is bigger and better than ever.
Some of the country's top tribute acts will take to the stage for Tribfest 2008 to send pulses racing with songs spanning five decades of rock and pop music.

Up to 5,000 people are expected to pass through the gates at Driffield Showground this we
ekend for the event, which is billed as the UK's best tribute festival.
The three-day festival will feature acts paying tribute to music legends including The Stone Roses, Johnny Cash, U2 and Led Zeppelin.
Tribfest is the brainchild of Eddy Faulkner, of Ed Entertainments Ltd, who is also the front man of the highly-acclaimed Hull-based tribute band, The Beautiful Couch, a tribute to the Beautiful South and The Housemartins.

He created the festival, which last year attracted around 3,000 people, as a vehicle to bring great music to the doorstep of East Yorkshire residents.

He said that tickets sales had doubled compared with last year and that, as long as the weather holds out, this year's event should top Tribfest 2007.

He said: ""I have been praying. It's a great site with good drainage so hopefully if we get sun and wind it will dry out - let the party commence."
