Motown revival in Driffield

TAMLA Motown will experience a revival in Driffield at the weekend.
For the Blue Bell at Riverhead is to host a Motown and soul night.
Tamla Motown was the US record label based in Detroit which became home to some of Motown's most famous acts.

Founded by Berry Gordy, it is said to have played an essential role in bringing African-American music to the forefront of the 1960's music scene.

Artists signed to the label included Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Four Tops, and The Jackson 5. The Blue Bell will host the event on Saturday (May 10) from 8pm until 1am with the bar open until midnight. Admission will be £2.50 on the door.
