POET Carol Ann Duffy will give a reading at Toll Gavel Church in Beverley on Wednesday July 9, at 7.30pm.
The reading is part of a summer programme of literary events celebrating the National Year of Reading, organised by East Riding Libraries.

John Clarke, East Riding libraries literature officer, said: "Carol Ann Duffy is one of those rare poets who manages to make her work both accessible to all kinds of readers without sacrificing any of her intelligence and emotional power.
