Driver freed from car in ditch
FIRE crews were called to Rudston in the early hours of Tuesday to rescue a male driver trapped in a car.
The call was made at 2.39am after a car was found in a ditch just off Main Street.
Hydraulic cutting equipment and a ladder were used to free the driver before the battery was disconnected and the vehicle made safe.
The driver suffered a fractured pelvis and chest injuries and is being treated at Scarborough Hospital.
