A MOTORIST who admitted speeding at more than one and a half times the legal limit on the main road through Beeford has been fined and given penalty points.
Magistrates sitting in Beverley on Thursday were told that Mark Blake, 43, had submitted a written guilty plea to the charge.

The bench heard that police had been carrying out speed checks on the A165 at Beeford on February 6.

Blake, of Windermere Road, Flanshaw, Wakefield, was spotted driving at 47 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone.

Magistrates endorsed Blake’s driving licence with five penalty points.

He was also fined £235 and ordered to pay £40 costs plus a £15 victim surcharge.
