Hazel Hibbert

A FUNERAL service was held at the Methodist Church, Nafferton, on Monday January 18 for Hazel Hibbert, of Howe Lane, Nafferton, who died suddenly at home on January 10. She was aged 75.
The service was conducted by the Rev Robert Amos and the organist was Mary Hudson.

Hazel was born in Nafferton in 1934 to parents Rose and Percy Dobson.

She attended Nafferton School and then Bridlington High School.

After leaving school s
he went to work at Jefferson’s Electrics on Eastgate, Driffield, and stayed there until she retired about 15 years ago.

She married Pat Hibbert in 1973, sadly he died in 1990.

They enjoyed caravanning, attending steam fairs and organ concerts while Pat was alive.

Hazel enjoyed watching sport, knitting, cross stitch and doing jigsaws.

She took an active part in village life.

She was a member of the Women’s Institute and also Bright Hour.
