Martin George Horne, 44, of Wold View Road North, Driffield, was fined £115 when he admitted failing to stop for the red light at Carnaby level crossing on May 8. His licence was endorsed with three penalty points and he was ordered to pay £40 prosecution costs. The case was heard on August 4.

Daryle-John Goldfinkle, 19, of St Margaret’s Close, Driffield, was placed on a community order until August 6, 2009, after admitting damaging a glass panel at Ebor Food Market in Driffield on July 22. He must carry out unpaid work for 80 hours, pay compensation of £250 and prosecution costs of £43. The case was heard on August 6.

Thomas Oliver Morley, 20, of Main Street, Great Kelk, pleaded guilty to driving on Scarborough Road, Driffield, without due care and attention on January 12. He was fined £160, ordered to pay prosecution costs of £43 and had his driving licence endorsed with six penalty points. The case was heard on August 6.

Simon Peter Ryan, 28, of Highfield Avenue, Driffield, was fined £181 and disqualified from driving for 18 months after pleading guilty to driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol on an unclassified road between Kilham and Driffield on June 6. He was found to have 60mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg. He was also ordered to pay £43 prosecution costs at the hearing on August 6.

Kevin Flanigan, 27, of Spring Close, Driffield, admitted exceeding the 60mph speed limit on the A166 at Huggate Wold on June 19. He was fined £200, ordered to pay £40 prosecution costs and had his driving licence endorsed with six penalty points at the hearing on August 8.

Piotr Wawiorko, 21, of Manorfield Avenue, Driffield, was fined £140, ordered to pay prosecution costs of £40 and had his driving licence endorsed with six penalty points after admitting driving without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence on the A614 at Kelleythorpe on May 15. The case was heard on August 8.

Philip Walter Bentley, 57, of Station Cottages, Bainton, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the red light signal at Carnaby level crossing on June 11 and was fined £115, ordered to pay £43 prosecution costs and had his driving licence endorsed with three penalty points. The case was heard on August 12.

Sheila Winifred Norris, 67, of Hymers Close, Driffield, was fined £115, ordered to pay prosecution costs of £43 and was given three penalty points on her driving licence after admitting failing to comply with the red light signal at Carnaby level crossing. The case was heard on August 12.

Richard Edward Grey-Nicholson, 32, of Great Kelk, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after he was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Driffield on December 4.
