With regard to the junction of Wansford Road and Bridlington Road.
Is it too much to expect elected representatives to think before they speak or better still to display some common sense.
It is obvious to anyone with a limited knowledge of safety that this junction poses a serious threat to safety, especially to children who attend the junior school.

Why should we bide our time, as suggested by Coun G Gorski on this issue. What are
we waiting for - a death?

Had Coun Roach bothered to contact the school he would have found that the school has already made children, staff, parents and grandparents aware of the situation.

Why are there railings on just one corner of the junction?
What are the views of the HSE on the present safety measures at this junction?

What are the views of the road safety department on the present safety measures at this junction?

What are the views of the traffic police on the present safety measures at this junction?

After all, they will all be involved when a child is killed and in addition, of course, will a funeral director and church.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is aware of the dangers as are the local councillors, yet still nobody seems prepared to accept responsibility and do something positive about it.

As paid and elected officers of the local authority and local council surely they should not be allowed to abdicate their responsibility to act in accordance with the health and safety issues as highlighted.
Now is the time to cease talking and act to prevent an accident or death of a child.

Every child matters.

A concerned grandparent.
