I Refer to your article which stated that there had been a good response to the brown bins in Driffield. I beg to differ.
Here are a few points the East Riding of Yorkshire Council should have thought about before sending them out.

The collection every two weeks: Bins should be collected once a month. There is not that much waste produced by the average garden to fill a bin after two weeks.

We as taxpayers are paying for a bin wagon to travel around collecting very little. Is this good for the environment?

I am all for recycling, but surely it would have been better to send out a coloured box for glass rather than a bin for garden waste.
This would have been more productive.

More thought should be spent on planning rather than headless action.
