I recently received a fixed penalty notice while parked in front of the old Kwik Save entrance on Middle Street South, Driffield.
On investigation, I found that I was on private land, not owned by Tesco.

I attended court on July 1 and pleaded not guilty on the basis that traffic wardens have no jurisdiction over private land.

The case has adjourned and subsequently thrown out by the Crown Prosecution Service.

I don't believe I was the first person to be ticketed there and probably not the last!
