Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery reopens for small, pre-booked tours
The team at Hunmanby-based Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, home to Filey Bay single malt whisky, has adapted their tours and the distillery layout to allow for social distancing and safety measures.
Tours, which must be pre-booked, are now limited to six people and run at 11am and 1pm daily. The distillery was recently awarded a ‘Good to Go’ certificate that confirms that the distillery has followed government and industry Covid-19 guidelines.

Hide AdCo-founder and MD David Thompson said: “We are delighted to be able to share the distillery with visitors once more. Although we continued distilling during lockdown, it’s not the same without people.
“We have introduced lots of special measures to keep people safe, including mandatory booking, limiting the number of people per tour, collecting visitors from their cars and a one way system that allows us to give a full tour, including tasting samples.”
