A WOMAN who is planning to return to Nafferton from Australia for the first time in more than 50 years has spoken of her excitement ahead of her trip.
As first reported in the Driffield Times last week, Janet Howard - nee Rodgers - is set to travel to the village from her home near Adelaide after half a century away next month.

She told the Driffield Times this week that she has already been contacted by a number of old family friends from the village and the surrounding area ahead of her visit.

She said: "It will be grand to see them. I am so excited."
As previously reported, Ms Howard left Nafferton for Australia with her family back in 1957, when she was aged three.

Now, she has also submitted a number of photographs showing members of her family which were taken in and around the Nafferton area.

Anyone who would like to contact Ms Howard before her trip can telephone 0061 883675202 or 0061 409675235 or email her at either jh505403@bigpond.net.au or janet.howard@adelaide.edu.au
