NAFFERTON residents can now start to finalise their entries for the village's open show after schedules were distributed.
Organisers are urging villagers to enter classes at the 69th annual show, which takes place at the village hall on Saturday July 19.

This year, the show will be formally opened by Sarah Sellar, who will also present the prizes.

The show president will be Richard Boddy, who is also the co-ordinator for Nafferton In Bloom.

Organisers are once again keen to attract more entries for the Earles Trophy, which is presented in honour of the late Canon Earle of Wansford and was donated by his family.

The trophy is awarded for the best kept garden in the parishes of Nafferton and Wansford.

Entries for the trophy should be submitted no later than Saturday July 12. The gardens which are put forward will be judged in the week before the show.

Meanwhile, entries for other classes will be taken at the village hall on the evening on Thursday July 17.
