YOUNGSTERS at Nafferton's Friday Shell Club have been learning about Pentecost and the work of Christian Aid at their regular sessions.
Last Friday, under the leadership of Daphne Shaw, Christian Aid balloons were given faces, legs and arms to signify the disciples receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

The session took place ahead of the village’s annual collections for Christian Aid Week, which are being made this week.

Anyone who can help with the collections is asked to contact Moira Ormerod on (01377) 257725.
