NAFFERTON fundraisers have appealed for support from villagers ahead of the annual collections for Christian Aid Week next month.
Both the village's parish and Methodist churches will be carrying out house to house collections in the village between May 11 and 17.

Last year's collections in the village raised a total of £900 and organisers are hopeful that a similar total will be raised this year.

Anyone who is able to help with the distribution or collection of envelopes is asked to contact Moira Ormerod on (01377) 257725.

Meanwhile, a prize quiz, called 'How Well Do You Know Yorkshire?' is also being run this year in aid of the appeal.

The quiz contains 40 clues to places all over the county. Prizes up for grabs include a Fairtrade food hamper and goodie bags.

Quiz sheets cost £1 each and are available from both the post office and the Londis shop. The closing date for entries is May 31.
