Unexploded World War Two bomb find closes road
Police had to shut a road near Scarborough after a suspected unexploded military device was discovered.
Bomb disposal experts were called in and the A169 Malton to Pickering road was shut at Howe Bridge, with people being urged to avoid the area, on Sunday July 27.
Police said what appeared to be an unexploded World War Two device had been found by a member of the public.
The road was open again by around 2.30pm.
