Once again, this year it was success all the way for pairs winners Dave Mabbett and John Dowling, who made it seven wins in seven years by beating S Frazer and S Gee 5 frames to 1 in the final of this year’s competition.
And for John, it was a cas
e of going one better in the Mixed Pairs final when he partnered Carla Bekker to a narrow 4-3 win over I Berriman and S Rudd, to make it the eighth successive year they have won the event.

The Men’s final this year is set to be a good game, with D Mabbett – joint most consistent in the A League and S Frazer, who was only 4 games behind him, going head to head, played directly after the ladies.
Pool players are asked to come down and show their support, whether picking up trophies this season or not.
This time the finals are being held at the Bay Horse Driffield with a disco and buffet arranged after.
