SUNDAY LEAGUE: Cayton edge out Roscoes
The home side shaded the first period, but it was Cayton who headed into half-time in front when Harry Sleep’s 25-yard effort flew into the net shortly before the break.
Roscoes pushed hard for an equaliser in the second period but the Corinthians defended resolutely to keep their slender advantage intact.

Elsewhere in the second division, Newlands Reserves triumphed 7-4 over a Scarborough Campus side who started the game with just 10 men.
Nathan McCabe scored twice for the university team, including a stunning free-kick, while George Thompson also netted a brace.
Goalkeeper Paul Hill impressed for Campus, pulling off a number of fine saves.
Eric Hall (3), Dan Sheader, Aidan McCallion and Ryan Link were the men on target for Newlands.
