A SERIES of four guided local history tours, around the Gypsey Race, will take place in May across the East Riding.
On Monday, May 8, people are invited to join Winifred Holtby at Rudston, led by Dr John Markham. People should meet at Rudston House for a tour of the garden, followed by a visit to the church.
On Thursday, May 15, a geological tour, Walking with Mammoths, will take place in Sewerby. Meet on the coastal footpath at the top of Sewerby steps.
On Thursday, May 22, people can tour the churches of Kirby Grindalythe, St Andrew and Helperthorpe, St Peter. Meet at Kirby Grindalythe Church.
On Tuesday, May 27, Wharram Percy - a medieval village in the Yorkshire Wolds - will be led by Ann Clark. Meet at the Bella Farm car park.
All the walks start at 7.15pm and cost £3 for one each or £10 for a season ticket. Booking is essential.
